Plumber Woolwich “sniffs” out a smelly drain

The smell from the bathroom floorwaste was disgusting. The kids complained endlessly about it. Mel had tried pouring a bucket of water down the drain, but that hadn’t helped. And to make matters worse she had her parents staying over next week. She needed help. She searched online for a Plumber local to the Woolwich area and was in luck with the first result. They were even available to come around the next day!

After ferrying the kids off to school, Mels phone rang. It was the plumber checking she was home as he’d be there in the next fifteen minutes! He slipped on protective covers for his boots “to protect her carpet”. She showed him to the offending drain, explaining that she’d tried to clear away the smell herself, but with no luck.

The Woolwich Plumber immediately set to work clearing out and then flushing the floorwaste with acid to eat away at any gunk sticking to the drain walls. Once done he poured a couple of buckets of water down the drain to make sure all the acid was gone. They let it settle and waited. The smell didn’t come back! Mel couldn’t have been more grateful! She begged a couple of business cards off him, promising to refer him to her friends.

If your bathroom drains are smelling, or your taps are leaking; if your hot water system requires a maintenance check or you’ve fallen victim to a plumbing emergency, call your local Woolwich Plumber on 0402 066 930.
